DESCRIPTION:Greetings one and all\, let me welcome you to the furry ball. \nThere’s spooks and spirits thought not the distilled kind but a ghastly friend you’re likely to find. \nWe have it all\, from wall to wall\, the vendors and games big and small. \nWe’ll have a blast and explosive gasp and waken you all as our latest ghast. \nIf you’re a bit confused; let me make you enthused\, spun around\, and a bit bemused. \nIt’s furry’s you see\, this year at the Doubletree. \nWith suits and songs and a headless lounge\, a dealer’s den\, and friends abound. \nWon’t you join us this first of November\, for the holiday event you’re sure to remember. \n  \n  \nThis year the theme is The Nightmare Before Christmas; so get spooky and festive; fooky or spestive; and get ready to have furries\, fun\, and friendly folks. This year we have double the space at the Doubetree in Columbia\, which means a dealer’s den\, more defined event spaces and more of everything else. Instead of a potluck the hotel is catering a Howliday Dinner for us. We will be featuring new merchandise designs including a new one exclusively for sponsors. Planned events include Artist Alley/Dealer’s Den\, Video Game Room/Traditional Game Room\, Art Jam and Craft space\, a furry holiday dinner\, dance floor\, and maybe even some panels. Take a private ride on a historic SC railroad\, stop for dinner at an old rail yard. Find clues to make it past guards and steal the key to the train’s safe\, and in it the lockbox full of gems. One eagle eyed and astute attendee will even take the box of loot home. Tickets include admission to the train museum\, a physical collectors ticket\, an event specific resin cast coin\, the ride to and from the location where we will eat dinner\, and the rustic Italian dinner itself catered by a local family owned business. DESCRIPTION:Digging in Carolina clay for rare rocks and gems. Costs: $50/person\, $30/person for groups of 3 or more. Wanting to get your paws dirty? ASC is having a rockhounding dig for native gemstones! Cost is $50/person\, $30/person for groups of 3 or more. Cash is best but they take digital payments too. Porta-Potty on site\, but we’re digging in the mud in a forest! Tools to bring: buckets\, hand tools\, shovels\, wooden dowels\, and gloves. This is real gemstone mining\, so you will be in Carolina red clay\, bring a change of clothes\, and wear clothes you are ok with ruining!!! Other important items to consider bringing: bug spray\, sunscreen\, sun hat\, battery power fan\, solar power fan hat\, and if you plan on being in the sun a while I’d bring an umbrella. There’s shade but it’s still hot out! Bring lots of water\, and your own shade might not be a bad idea. Keep in mind this dig is at a private farm\, so the exact address will be given at the dollar general (a 15 minute drive) and remember to be respectful of their property.
