DESCRIPTION:Digging in Carolina clay for rare rocks and gems. Costs: $50/person\, $30/person for groups of 3 or more. Wanting to get your paws dirty? ASC is having a rockhounding dig for native gemstones! Cost is $50/person\, $30/person for groups of 3 or more. Cash is best but they take digital payments too. Porta-Potty on site\, but we’re digging in the mud in a forest! Tools to bring: buckets\, hand tools\, shovels\, wooden dowels\, and gloves. This is real gemstone mining\, so you will be in Carolina red clay\, bring a change of clothes\, and wear clothes you are ok with ruining!!! Other important items to consider bringing: bug spray\, sunscreen\, sun hat\, battery power fan\, solar power fan hat\, and if you plan on being in the sun a while I’d bring an umbrella. There’s shade but it’s still hot out! Bring lots of water\, and your own shade might not be a bad idea. Keep in mind this dig is at a private farm\, so the exact address will be given at the dollar general (a 15 minute drive) and remember to be respectful of their property.
